We went to Godek's Farm, New Jersey to get a goat for ourself for Dashain last Saturday - 16 October, 2010. Like most Nepali in USA we were not satisfied with the regular goat or mostly lamb meat we buy off grocery stores for other occasions. It was Dashain after all.
At the farm these three little birds greeted us with their cackles. The myth about Swan Song and the Bob Marley song Three Little Birds came to mind immediately.
Swan Song in reality is a myth because the Mute Swan is not actually mute and it does not sing a beautiful song before dying. Neither Bob Marley sang about geese, the song, most probably was about sparrows.
Whatever it was, I captured the moment in my video.
